The game that no one saw coming

After almost everyone I know brackets were completely destroyed, we are finally down the the Championship game. This tournament has been one of the most exciting to watch in a long time. You really didn't know what team was going to win because almost all the favorites have been taken away.

I am personally lean on a Duke win. They have a good team this year and I think they may be tenacious enough to get it. We will see though, with all the upsets so far, I am excited to see what happens tonight.

NASCAR still has it!!!

I will be the first to admit that I am not an avid NASCAR fan. Though it is fun to watch racing, I am not hooked on it like many people are. But then you see hits like in the video I just posted, and my interest gets peaked again.

I like watching NASCAR for the crashes just like I like watching Hockey for the fights. If either sport would guarantee me that I would at least see one or two during the event, I would have season tickets. So maybe these business should consider this a good business tactic, just an idea.

Canadian Powerhouse gets defeated!!!

No one saws this coming but it is one of those shocking Olympic moments that keeps us watching. Team USA shocked the world when it defeat the Canadian team over the weekend and ruined the hopes of the team that was view as one of the strongest contenders for the gold this year.

I don't know why but great moments in sports like these never seem to happen outside of the Olympics. I know they have world championships happen all the time, but I never seem to hear about these events happening but maybe it is just because it is not as publicized. Well, I am glad I caught this game, it was well worth it.

Keep up with the medals

Just because it is the largest event going on in the sporting world and that NBA's All-star weekend just ended. I love how I start caring for athletes and cheering from them to win after only knowing them for about six minutes.

So if you need a one stop shop for while you are at work, I thought I would post this up. Whatever your sport or country is, you got to agree it's pretty cool to watch.

Who Dat Nation with a ring!!!

"Who Dat Nation" proved itself last night. I was worried that first quarter, it looked like the Colts were too organized for the Saints to get into their groove that had lead them to the championship game. I was worried that the rest of the game was going to be a blowout, I am so happy to be proven wrong.

After that quarter, the Saints really got their heads in the game and proved why they deserved the ring. And what was great that until the final score, there was a chance for the first ever overtime in Superbowl history. So, out of the last few years, I was quite happy with this game.

The Trojans lose their Leader!

As with all Greek tragedies, the USC Trojans just reported that they will be looking their leader which had brought them so much success in the past. It was just announce that Pete Carroll will be leaving to be the new coach of the Seattle Sea hawks.

Pete Carroll won't be new to the NFL has coached both the Pats and the Jets but left because he didn't have full control of the team and the politics were too much for him. He has been promised that this won't be the case in Seattle. Good luck, Pete, and thanks for what you have done!

Quarterback makes it personal

As the season is wrapping up in college football, sometimes people forget their "P"s and "Q"s. This is what happened this past weekend, when 14th ranked BYU's quarterback was in a postgame press conference after narrowly beat out long-time rival team, the Utah Utes.

Max Hall, BYU's highest winning quarterback in school history, let out a venomous attack on his rival school. He said, "I don't like Utah. In fact, I hate them. I hate everything about them. I hate their program, I hate their fans, I hate everything". Now, this has stuck a nerve in a few people in the state of Utah.

Max Hall attributes his anger to an event last season when his family was harassed by Ute fans at Utah's stadium last year. A day of the press conference, Max Hall released an apology for his attack on the Utah program. The following day, he did receive an reprimand from the Mountain West conference. No further action will probably be taken against Mr. Hall but this outburst will probably be one of the events that stick in fans minds when they remember this college player.
